Former President Daniel Moi undergoes surgery

Retired President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi has undergone a minor surgery.

According to the family spokesman, Lee Njiru, Mr Moi underwent a minor surgical operation on his right knee to ease some pain that had started developing.

The surgery was conducted at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi on Friday, January 27 evening. The spokesman said that the former President was discharged and is recuperating well.
